Car Wrecks, Fraud and Public Drunkeness: A Sampling of Last Week's Police Logs

Some major car accidents, a stolen bike, civilians drunk in public and brandishing weapons and an innkeeper is defrauded, according to those who called San Ramon police dispatchers in the past week.

Every week, San Ramon Patch reads through the police blotters and sums up the most noteworthy calls.

This week, there were a few instances of fraud, theft from cars and a few hit-and-runs.

Tuesday, Aug. 17

  • Someone reported a misdemeanor hit-and-run on Alcosta Boulevard and Kimball Avenue at 4:16 a.m.
  • A commercial building was burglarized on the 5200 block of Norris Canyon Road at 10:20 a.m.
  • A home was burglarized on the 300 block of Amberstone Lane at 11:25 a.m.
  • A kid ran away from the 400 block of Ustilago Court at 12:37 p.m.
  • A car accident with property damage occurred on Bollinger Canyon Road at the Gale Ranch Shopping Center at 2:12 p.m.
  • Animal cruelty was reported on Crow Canyon Road and San Ramon Valley Boulevard at 4:04 p.m.
  • There was a shooting on the 500 block of Van Buren Place at 4:37 p.m.
  • Vandalism was reported on the 4000 block of Terra Alta Drive at 7:50 p.m.

Wednesday, Aug. 18

  • Grand theft occurred on the 300 block of Country Brook Loop at 8:55 a.m.
  • A car was burglarized on the 2900 block of Silva Way at 12:41 p.m.
  • A bicycle was stolen from the 100 block of Montgomery Street at 2:23 p.m.
  • A drug violation was reported on the 5000 block of Bollinger Canyon Road at 3:02 p.m.
  • A car was burglarized on the 2700 block of Marsh Drive at 5:48 p.m.
  • Someone reported being harassed on the 2300 block of Millstream Lane at 6:09 p.m.
  • There was a car accident with major injuries reported on Belford Drive and Westchester Drive at 5:58 p.m.

  • A commercial building was burglarized on the 9000 block of Craydon Circle at 8:07 a.m.
  • There was a reckless driver pulled over on Bollinger Canyon Road and Norris Canyon Road at 8:56 a.m.
  • A case of credit card fraud was reported on the 100 block of Connick Court at 9:06 a.m.
  • There was a car accident with property damage on Fostoria Way and San Ramon Valley Boulevard at 1:21 p.m.
  • Another car accident required an ambulance and a fire truck on Bollinger Canyon Road and South Chanterell at 1:44 p.m.
  • Police were called when someone was reported brandishing a weapon in public on the corner of Barnwood Drive and Sombrero Circle at 2:03 p.m.
  • A case of forgery was reported when someone forged documents on the 1700 block of Wycliffe Lane at 4:24 p.m.
  • A patient was hospitalized for mental illness on the 100 block of Medinah Court at 8:28 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 20

  • A shoplifter was reported on the 2500 block of San Ramon Valley Boulevard at 12:38 a.m.
  • A misdemeanor hit and run was reported on Bollinger Canyon Road and Crow Canyon Road at 7:05 a.m.
  • Police were called when someone was reportedly drunk in public on the 2500 block of San Ramon Valley Boulevard at 9:00 a.m.
  • Someone called the police and reported being threatened on the 8100 block of Briar Oaks Drive at 11:16 a.m.
  • Grand theft reported on the 400 block of Montgomery Street at 3:00 p.m.
  • Vandalism reported on the 2200 block of Camino Ramon at 4:45 p.m.
  • Someone violated a custody order on the 12500 block of Alcosta Boulevard at 7:13 p.m.
  • Someone was pulled over for misdemeanor driving under the influence on the 18000 block of San Ramon Valley Boulevard at 8:49 p.m.
  • There was a drug violation on the 3400 block of Rosincress Drive at 9:32 p.m.
  • There was reportedly a case of battery on the 2300 block of Jasper Hill Drive at 11:25 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 21

  • Someone was arrested for receiving stolen property on the 100 block of Westside Court at 3:55 a.m.
  • A car accident caused major injuries on the corner of Austin Creek Avenue and Dougherty Road at 9:12 a.m.
  • A commercial burglary occurred at the 500 block of Bollinger Canyon Way at 10:08 a.m.
  • Someone called the police reporting battery on the 2700 block of Canyon Creek Drive at 3:22 p.m.
  • Reckless driving reported on the 2700 block of Camino Venadillo at 6:45 p.m.
  • Someone was pulled over for misdemeanor driving under the influence at Bollinger Canyon Road and Dougherty Road at 7:29 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 22

  • A car accident needed ambulance and fire truck assistance on Alcosta Boulevard and Crow Canyon Road at 7:49 a.m.
  • Vandalism was reported on the 2400 block of Ascension Drive at 10:28 a.m.
  • The police were called for an apparent case of animal cruelty on Alcosta Boulevard and San Ramon Valley Boulevard at 2:06 p.m.
  • There was a car accident with property damage on Davona Drive and Springdale Lane at 7:03 p.m.
  • There was a shooting reported on the 200 block of Chestnut Court at 9:42 p.m.

Monday, Aug. 23

  • Police pulled over a driver for misdemeanor driving under the influence at Crow Canyon Road and Old Mill Road at 12:24 a.m.
  • There was a vehicle accident with property damage reported on Crow Canyon Road and Deerwood Road at 9:03 a.m.
  • A case of credit card fraud was reported on the 9600 block of Tareyton Avenue at 9:08 a.m.
  • Someone reportedly committed fraud by forging documents on the 700 block of Promontory Terrace at 11:25 a.m.
  • A misdemeanor hit and run was reported on the 12600 block of Alcosta Boulevard at 12:22 p.m.
  • Petty theft reported on Dougherty Road and Rancho Park Loop at12:49 p.m.
  • A case of battery was reported on the 12900 block of Alcosta Boulevard at 6:48 p.m.
  • Police were called after someone reportedly attempted to defraud an innkeeper 2000 block of Crow Canyon Place at 7:06 p.m.
  • A felony hit-and-run was reported on the 2200 block of Camino Ramon at 7:54 p.m.
