Little League Fundraising Money Stolen, $1,000 Reward Offered for Information Leading to an Arrest

Someone this weekend took the $1,000 from a purse left in a car.

Someone on Saturday stole $1,000 raised by the San Ramon Little League from snack sales.

The league is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the theft.

The thief took the cash from a purse that was left in a car in the Athan Downs Park parking lot at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

The league encourages anyone with information about the theft to report it to the San Ramon Police Department at 973-2779.

San Ramon police said the most common crime in the city is theft from vehicles.
