Lexington Place Fire Damages Two Homes

A firefighter suffered a minor injury from the blaze, but is expected to fully recover.

A fire on the 900 block of Lexington Place of Saturday damaged two homes and a firefighter suffered a minor injury from the blaze, according to the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District.

Firefighters responded to the fire at about 4:30 p.m. and the crew from station 39 arrived to find heavy smoke and flames showing from the car port and garage areas of the home. The fire had spread to a second home.

Firefighters aggressively fought the blaze at the two homes and had the fire under control in less than a hour.

San Ramon Valley Fire attacked the blaze with six engines, two trucks, one paramedic ambulance, one breathing support unit, three chief officers and one fire investigator.The firefighter injured is expected to make a full recovery.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
