Hit-And-Run Critically Injures 82-Year-Old Man; Police Searching for Suspect

The incident happened Friday on Village Parkway, south of Alcosta Boulevard. San Ramon Police are looking for a driver of a Nissan Altima.

An 82-year-old man was critically injured when he was hit by a car on Village Parkway near Alcosta Boulevard, San Ramon police said.

San Ramon police are looking for the driver involved in the hit-and-run incident. The injured man was taken to John Muir Medical Center, where he is still hospitalized.

After investigating the hit-and-run, San Ramon police believe the suspect's vehicle is a gray or silver recent model of a Nissan Altima, with the first digit of the license plate possibly being "6."

The vehicle is believed to be missing its driver side view mirror and should have moderate left front-end damage.

The hit-and-run happened around 5:25 p.m. on Friday. Police believe the driver was traveling southbound on Village Parkway from Alcosta Boulevard. Following the collision, the vehicle continued southbound toward Dublin.

The driver of the vehicle was described by a witness to San Ramon police as a “male of Indian descent,” with light complexion and approximately 45 years of age.
