Grand Theft, Animal Cruelty and Prowlers: This Week in Police Logs

A summary of notable incidents as recorded by San Ramon police dispatchers.

Every week, San Ramon Patch reads through the police blotters and sums up the most noteworthy calls.

This week, there were a few instances of credit card fraud, theft from cars and a couple of hit-and-run accidents.

Tuesday, July 27

  • A prowler was heard on the 2900 block of Millbridge Drive at 1:16 a.m.
  • Identity theft reported on the 200 block of Rutland Court at 9:52 a.m.
  • Someone stole vehicle parts from the 100 block of Market Place at 12:51 p.m.
  • A car was burglarized on the 4400 block of Norris Canyon Road at 6:12 p.m.
  • A car accident caused a fire on the corner of Bollinger Canyon and Norris Canyon Roads at 9:28 p.m.

Wednesday, July 28

  • A misdemeanor hit and run was reported on the 2700 block of Crow Canyon Road at 8:17 a.m.
  • Grand theft from a vehicle was reported on the 600 block of Bollinger Canyon Way at 9:50 a.m.
  • Animal control was called three times Wednesday in apparently unrelated incidences. Once on the 100 block of Park Place at 12:52 p.m., another on the 5000 block of Bollinger Canyon Road at 3:02 p.m., and again on the 2600 block of Camino Ramon at 4:10 p.m.
  • Felony embezzlement reported on the 2700 block of Crow Canyon Road at 2:05 p.m.
  • Someone was pulled over for misdemeanor driver under the influence on Highway 680 North bound off of Crow Canyon Road at 5:20 p.m.
  • Someone called the police for alleged battery on the 900 block of Amberstone Lane at 9:05 p.m.

Thursday, July 29

  • Credit card fraud was reported on the 6000 block of Bollinger Canyon Road at 3:56 p.m.
  • There was a misdemeanor hit and run on Albion Road and Windemere Parkway at 4:42 p.m.
  • There was a car accident with major injuries on Bollinger Canyon Road and Stoneleaf Road at 10:07 p.m.
  • A prowler was heard on the 2600 block of Celaya Circle at 10:31 p.m.

Friday, July 30

  • Grand theft reported on the 3200 block of Crow Canyon Place at 9:50 a.m.
  • Someone was arrested on a drug charge on the 3000 block of Butte Avenue at 12:08 p.m.
  • A warrant was served on the 100 block of Lansford Court at 1:56 p.m.
  • Police were called because there was a "suspicious" person at a Taco Bell.
  • A violent, mentally ill person was hospitalized on the 5000 block of Lakeview Drive at 11:13 p.m.

Saturday, July 31

  • There was a car accident with minor injuries on Highway 680 North bound at Alcosta Boulevard at 9:36 a.m.
  • Fraud was reported when a computer was hacked into on the 6100 block of Crestfield Drive at 11:19 a.m.
  • Someone called the police after being threatened on the 11000 block of Bollinger Canyon Road at 4:06 p.m.
  • Two incidences of shoplifting were reported on the 2500 block of San Ramon Valley Boulevard. One at 8:25 p.m. and one at 9:53 p.m. The shoplifters are apparently in custody.
  • There was a fireworks disturbance on Morning Hills Court and Portillo Valley at 9:34 p.m.
  • Someone was reportedly throwing rocks at cars on Iron Horse Trail and Montevideo Drive at 11:33 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 1

  • A fireworks disturbance was reported on the 12300 block of Alcosta Boulevard at 1:14 a.m.
  • Someone was reportedly drunk in public on the 2600 block of Bishop Drive at 3:19 p.m.
  • Two misdemeanor hit and runs occurred today on Alcosta Boulevard. One occurred at 3:18 p.m. on Alcosta Boulevard and Davona Drive and the other occurred on the 9000 block of Alcosta Boulevard at 10:30 p.m.
  • Someone was reported to have committed forgery on the 100 block of Suva Court. The fraudulent documents were reported twice at 4:53 p.m. and 5:12 p.m.
  • There was a car accident with property damage on Highway 580 West bound, west of North Livermore at 5:56 p.m.
  • Grand theft bicycle was reported on the 900 block of Springview Circle at 8:52 a.m. That same "grand theft" was reported again at 9:20 a.m.

Monday, Aug. 2

  • Grand theft bicycle was reported on the 900 block of Springview Circle at 8:52 a.m. That same "grand theft" was reported again at 9:20 a.m.
  • A forgery of fraudulent documents was reported on the 700 block of Birdwood Court at 1:57 p.m.
  • Two cases of identity theft were reported within minutes of each other. Once on the 1100 block of Arrowfield Way at 2:51 p.m.
  • The other case of identity theft was reported on the 3600 block of Crow Canyon Road at 3 p.m.
  • Credit card fraud was reported on the 500 block of Ian Court at 7:01 p.m.
  • A kid reportedly ran away from the 100 block of Pamplona Court at 8:55 p.m.
