Two Families Homeless, Firefighter Injured Due to Fire

The fire was in the 100 block of Rush Creek Court.

By Bay City News--

A two-alarm fire that burned two houses in San Ramon this afternoon has left two families without homes, a fire spokeswoman said.

The fire was reported at 2:15 p.m. at 101 and 105 Rush Creek Court, San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District spokeswoman Kim French said.

The firefighters eventually controlled the fire, but it left both two-story homes uninhabitable, French said.

"They're not going to be habitable any time soon," she said.

A firefighter suffered a minor injury while fighting the fire but no other injuries were reported.

Firefighters remain on the scene putting out hot spots this afternoon. San Ramon Valley firefighters were assisted by the Alameda County Fire Department.
