Fire Burns Home on Tuesday Afternoon

A fire broke out in a home on Spring Garden Court Tuesday afternoon causing an estimated $300,000 worth of damages, the San Ramon Valley Fire District reported.

The blaze was first reported to the fire department at 2:13 p.m. before crews extinguished the flames in about 40 minutes.

Nobody was home at the time of the fire and neighbors reported the fire after hearing smoke alarms and seeing smoke.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
