Driver Airlifted After Hitting Several Trees Wednesday

The driver hit a number of trees near North Monarch Road and North Wedgewood Road before hitting a fence.

A driver of a vehicle was airlifted to a local hospital after the driver hit a number of trees Wednesday afternoon, according to San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District spokeswoman Kimberly French.

The incident happened near the North Monarch Road and North Wedgewood Road intersection and crews were on scene at 2:34 p.m.

After hitting a number of trees, the driver crashed into a fence.
