Commercial Building Catches Fire on Bollinger Canyon

Multiple businesses were impacted by the fire that caused at least $200,000 worth of damage. Nobody was injured.

The responded to and extinguished a commercial building fire on the 18000 block of Bollinger Canyon Road on Tuesday afternoon, San Ramon Valley Fire Chief Richard Price said.

The two-alarm fire at the 4,000-square-foot facility, located about a mile north of the Crow Canyon Road and Bollinger Canyon Road intersection, was reported to the fire department at 4:24 p.m. and was under control in about 30 minutes.

Nobody was hurt in the fire and Price estimated there was about $200,000 worth of content damage. He didn't have an intial monetary estimate for the damage to the structure.

With no fire hydrants in the area, the department sent all three of its water tankers to the blaze.

"The area is heavily wooded and in the canyon, so we wanted to make sure the fire didn't spread to the surrounding brush," Price said.

One of the businesses at the facility is Schlosser Construction, Price said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
