Big Rig Accident Near Bollinger Canyon Road Slowing Traffic on Northbound I-680

Traffic is backed up through Pleasanton from the accident.

An accident involving a big rig has led a massive traffic jam on northbound Interstate 680 on Wednesday evening, according to 511.org.

Traffic was backed up through Pleasanton after the crash and injuries have been reported on scene. The right lanes are blocked and California Highway Patrol are recommending drivers to avoid the area.

The San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District first reported to the crash at 4:32 p.m., according to PulsePoint.

The big rig was involved in a collision with two other cars and overturned. Fuel spilled onto the highway from the accident and CHP closed three lanes, before reopening two just before 6 p.m.
