I was honored and excited to have a great conversation and get some insight into what inspires the style of Suzanne Baptista, a resident of San Ramon, and learn more about her fashion tips and her city favorites.
Enjoy!
Who do you consider to be your biggest fashion influence?
We all look at glamour magazines and movie stars, but I can’t think of anyone specific – mainly because I prefer to portray who I am and be unique by taking little bits and pieces from many different styles.
What is it about the city of San Ramon that inspired your move here?
I have always wanted to live here from the time I was young. The city is a very serene, family oriented community and there is so much to do – wine stroll, music in the park, and lots of fine dining. Everyone is so friendly here and everything I need is so accessible. Most importantly, I feel very safe in my neighborhood.
Your biggest fashion weakness is....
Purses! You can always tell something about a person through their purse. A purse is a HUGE fashion statement.
What is your one "can’t live without" item?
My palm tree diamond necklace. It reminds me of the Hawaiian islands. It makes me feel at home and brings back many memories. When I’m in a hurry, I grab that necklace and put it on without even thinking about it. I left my heart in Hawaii.
What would you consider a “stylish” place to visit or eat in San Ramon?
Definitely the Thai Café. A very cozy and comfortable environment. It feels warm and has an adorable ambiance.
Are there any great fashion stops you can recommend to our readers here in San Ramon?
is a great place to shop. They have great deals on named brands especially in jewelery, shoes, and purses of course ... my favorite!
One fashion tip we should all know....
Accessorize! You may think people don’t notice, but people do pay attention to accessories.Watches, necklaces, bracelets, hair clips, and scarves; I always receive many compliments on them. They draw positive attention and put the icing on the cake to your outfit. I work as a nurse, and all of my accessories- especially jewelery, are great conversational pieces with our patients and make them happy.
