Speeding Down Bollinger Canyon

Speeding down Bollinger Canyon has become a real problem.  Just today, a driver heading east on Bollinger flipped his car over and landed in the green patch of the cities landscape.  This was 10 minutes before school got out, right near the entrance to Memorial Park Soccer Field. How fast was he going to flip his car and total it?  Was he texting and not paying attention? If any children were walking home, as mine do, they could have been killed.  There was a woman walking her dog up the hill.  It is a good thing she didn't walk faster because she wouldn't be here today.  It seems there are not enough police watching and there needs to be another set of lights or speed bumps added at the cross of Morgan and Bollinger.  There is no way a child can safely cross at the pedestrian cross walk at Morgan and there is no crossing guard, or lights.  It is clearly not safe to walk up the street against the traffic but on the opposite side of the street there is no way to cross there street once you get to Morgan.  Something needs to be done to prevent a tragedy.  The city should install lights in the crossing area at Morgan to warn drivers that there are pedestrians trying to cross so they will slow down.  This will also give school age children, who walk home, an option to walk safely on the other side of the street, going with the traffic, rather than against it.
