This week, we are telling you about our picks for the best happy hours with something for everyone, from wine bar lovers to sports bar enthusiasts.

Happy Hour: Mon. to Fri., 5 p.m. to close

What you will find: $7 small plates, $7 martinis and $5 wines.

The buzz: Bridges happy hour consistently wins local 'best of' contests. The happy hour menu is huge, delectable and reasonably priced. The real clincher is that happy hour lasts all night long.

Happy Hour: Mon. to Sat., 3 - 6 p.m. and 9 - 10:30 p.m.; Sun., 3 -6 p.m.

What you will find: $4 beers in the bottle, $5 beers on tap, $5 house wines and $6 well cocktails. All food items are half price.

The buzz: Blackhawk Grille earns high points from happy-hour fans for the great value and a relaxing location that can’t be beat.

Happy Hour (in the bar only): Sun. to Thurs, 3-7 p.m.; Fri. to Sat., 3-6 p.m.

Wine and beer

What you will find: $5 wine selections, $2 off bottled beers and $2 to $5 small plates.

The buzz: Patrons love the small plates, especially the cheeses, and give high marks for service. It has a generally quiet atmosphere, enhanced by the patio and outdoor fireplace. Live music Thursday nights from 6-10 p.m.

Happy Hour: Daily, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

What you will find: Daily themed specials, including ‘Fresh Mex Mondays,’ featuring Cadillac margaritas for $5; two for one Tuesdays for all well drinks and BUD Light bottles; $1 Coors Light and Pabst Blue Ribbon Drafts on ‘Thirsty Thursdays.’

The buzz: Patrons make a tradition of Tower Grille’s happy hour — many have been going for years. The spot is best suited for those who enjoy no frills grill food, inexpensive drinks and a sports bar atmosphere. If you are a sports enthusiast, there are no fewer than 10 TVs to watch the games.
