Bulling at Live Oak Elementary

My heart is breaking tonight and I'm sure many of you can relate. My children have been subjected to bullying for sometime now. My children are the minority at Live Oak. There are only 100 Caucasian children out of 1,100 children. Children identified as "other" are frequently the subjects of bullying. My daughter’s plight has worsened recently. Yesterday the situation escalated when a boy kicked her between the legs and she was brought to her knees. She said the experience was not only painful but "embarrassing". I spoke with the principal. She could only reassured me she would speak to specific students and continue to educate faculty. We have had this reassurance before without results. I am begging parents to please speak with their children regarding their behavior, bullying and standing up for those being hurt. Thanks for listening.
