The deal: Buy one, get one 50 percent off footwear sale is on now. A back-to-school gift with a purchase from Mabel’s Labels also is available. A six-pack of socks is $12.

432 Hartz Ave., Danville


The deal: During this Thursday night’s Shop Local downtown street festival, Forward Motion will host Nike Night, with Nike representatives there to answer questions and merchandise, including kids’ shoes, at 15 percent off. The store says to mention that you saw the deal on Danville Patch!

3. Shuz of Danville

600 Sycamore Valley Road West, Danville (in the Livery)


The deal: Everything in the store is on sale up to 30 percent off; selected men’s and women’s shoes also are on sale from $49-$99. The store doesn't carry children's shoes.


New location: 408 Hartz Ave., Danville


The deal: Until the end of August, Hartz and Soles old location (411 Hartz Ave.) remains open and is offering 25 percent to 30 percent off selected styles, as well as a buy one get one 50 percent off sale. Note that there are no children’s styles in the outlet store. There is a small selection in the new location that isn't on sale.


3209 Crow Canyon Place, San Ramon


The deal: Many athletic shoes are on sale for back to school, as well as backpacks.
