San Ramon Valley Death Notices

Some of the people with ties to the San Ramon Valley who passed away recently

Dr. Alden Badal, a resident of Danville, worked in the Oakland school district in various administrative posts for 19 years. He was also San Lorenzo school district superintendent from 1978 to 1992. He was active in the Community Presbyterian Church in Danville. Badal passed away on July 29 at the age of 83.

James Daniel Gess,
 a resident of San Ramon, was born in Berkeley and attended school in Moraga, graduating from Campolindo High School in 1985. He earned an audio engineering degree from San Francisco State University and worked as an audio visual technician. He worked for five years for the Zazu Pitts Memorial Orchestra. He also played the harmonica and guitar. Gess passed away on July 31 at the age of 46.

Avis June Hamilton, a resident of Danville, was a native of Indiana who moved to Danville with her family in 1972. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Walnut Creek and was active in the ministry for 30 years. Hamilton passed away on July 31 at the age of 86.

Susan Peterson, a resident of Danville, was a native of Detroit who worked as a nurse in various hospitals, including John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. Peterson passed away on July 24 at the age of 58.

James J. Stephens, a resident of Danville, was born in Michigan and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Stephens passed away on July 27 at the age of 95.

Jeremy Jachim, a graduate of San Ramon Valley High who earned a degree in aviation operations from San Jose State University. He worked for Cessna Aircraft, his latest assignment stationing him in Wichita, Kansas. Jachim passed away on July 23 at the age of 39.
