San Ramon death notices: HS coach, traveler, construction worker, life saver

Read about those in the San Ramon community who died recently.

Ada Ambrose: A San Ramon resident, Ambrose, 96, died June 17. She loved to travel by cruise ship and in her motor home, visiting family members and countries around the continent and the world.

Kenneth Barker: Barker, 74, died June 16 of cancer. He was a San Ramon resident and retired from a career in construction. 

Todd Nufer: Nufer, 51, died June 21 of a diabetic coma. A graduate of San Ramon High School, Nufer was a teacher and worked part time at Orchard Supply Hardware stores around Northern California. He once used CPR to save a customer's life.

Aaron Paxson: San Ramon resident Paxon, 81, died June 1.

Charles Pierce: Pierce, 54, died June 1 at home in San Ramon. He worked with Stonecastle Land and Home Financial in Danville and served several seasons as assistant coach at Redwood High School.
