Celebration of Life for Barry Taylor

The celebration will be held at Camp Arroyo on Jan. 11 at 2 p.m.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Jan. 11 to honor the life of philanthropist Barry Taylor. The celebration will be held at in Livermore at Camp Arroyo for the foundation's founder, who has been mourned since his unexpected death on Nov. 16 after he suffered from a massive heart attack.

The event will be at 2 p.m. and anyone who knew Taylor is invited to share stories and memories about Taylor. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by emailing: ttff@ttff.org.

Taylor, 74, who is survived by his wife, three daughters, three sons and six grandchildren, was known throughout the Bay Area and has been described as "caring, generous, gracious and genuine" by those posting condolences on Facebook.

In a previous article, Taylor's wife, Elaine Taylor, said of her late husband, "He was the best human being. He cared so much about others, it was astounding."

The Taylor Family Foundation, co-founded by Taylor and his wife in 1990, provides various services for children living with developmental disabilities and chronic illnesses throughout Northern California.
