From the City of San Ramon
Spring has arrived in San Ramon.
The first baby lambs of the season have made their debut at Forest Home Farms Historic Park and it is a set of triplets! The lambs were born prematurely and are currently being bottle fed by their caretakers. Lambs are typically born as twins, so this threesome are a rare delight. More lambs are expected to be born at in the upcoming weeks.
The sheep are cared for by the women who make up the Sheep 4 Ewe Co-op: Patsy Galati, Susie Becker, Rosemary Reilly and Sharon Freilich. Sheep Shearing Day at Forest Home Farms Historic Park is scheduled for Saturday, April 21 and will feature demonstrations by the sheep co-op.
The event is offered by the San Ramon Historic Foundation and information about the event can be found at www.srhf.org.
