Holiday Lighting of 70-Foot Tree at Bishop Ranch

Live reindeer and a snow play area for kids are a few of the activities planned for this year's Bishop Ranch Tree Lighting Ceremony in San Ramon.

Sunset Development will kick off the holiday season with its annual Bishop Ranch Tree Lighting Ceremony and Holiday Event on Friday, Dec. 6, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The free event takes place at Bishop Ranch One, located at 6111 Bollinger Canyon Road.

San Ramon and has grown to over 3,000 attendees from 300 in its inaugural year. 

The event will feature numerous family activities, including:

Ø  Spectacular lighting of a 70-foot holiday tree at 6:30 p.m.

Ø  Photo opportunities with Santa Claus

Ø  Live reindeer

Ø  A snow play area for kids ages 12 and under

Ø  Live music and various entertainment on two stages

Ø  Food Trucks, Local Restaurant Vendors, and free refreshments

Ø  One Warm Coat will be onsite accepting gently-used coats and financial donations

Ø  Food Bank of Contra Costa will be onsite accepting funds and donations of pre-packaged foods (no glass containers please).
