San Ramon Future Fourth of July Options Now Available For Citizen Input Online

Tell the city online if you or don't want fireworks in San Ramon for the Fourth of July.

From the City of San Ramon

The City of San Ramon launched its first online forum utilizing a new social media tool.

Open San Ramon, now available on the City’s website, which allows residents to review topics posted by City staff and provide input. The first topic posted online is the result of last week’s second community forum held by the Parks & Community Services Commission regarding event options for future Independence Day celebrations.

At the forum attendees reviewed the work of the Fourth of July Citizen’s Committee and selected four options to move forward to the online forum for public input.

Residents are encouraged to subscribe to the new Open San Ramon forum and let your thoughts and ideas be known. Information gathered from this online tool will be reviewed by the Parks and Community Services Commission and the City Council.

The Parks & Community Services Commission will receive the presentation from the Citizen Committee at their Oct. 10 meeting and will make a formal recommendation to the City Council for final approval in late November early December 2012.

All San Ramon residents, businesses and organization members are invited to participate in Open San Ramon by visiting here.
