Secular Yom Kippur

Tri-Valley Cultural Jews will hold a secular Yom Kippur observance on Saturday, September 14 from 2-5 pm. at the Bothwell Center in Livermore.  The program consists of music and non-religious readings in English, followed by participatory workshops and a non-religious memorial ceremony.  Suggested donation is $10/adult non-member of TVCJ.  Kids are free.  There will also be an opportunity to make charitable contributions to various international, national and local agencies.  We are also collecting canned and boxed goods for the food bank.

Tri-Valley Cultural Jews serves those whose Jewish identity is based on culture, heritage and family, rather than on religion.  The organization sponsors holiday and sabbath celebrations, educational and cultural activities, and a Jewish Culture School leading to a Secular Bar/Bat Mitzvah.  Non-traditional families and intermarried households are welcome.  TVCJ is an affiliate of the Congress of Secular Jewish Organizations.
