East Bay SPCA Jog-a-Dog Volunteer Running Program

All fitness levels welcome!

Jog-a-Dog pairs volunteer runners from the community with shelter dogs for group runs along established routes that begin and end at the East Bay SPCA in Dublin. The purpose of the program is to provide enrichment in the form of running to shelter dogs while they await adoption.

Volunteer runners must be 16 years of age or older and are expected to follow directions and guidelines provided at two mandatory training sessions. Session 1: Shelter orientation and safe handling of animals training from a staff member of the Volunteer Department. Session 2: Jog-a-Dog program specific training from a staff member of the Behavior & Training Department.

Jog-a-Dog sessions are available every Saturday and Sunday from 9:30am to 11:00am. Rain or shine. Additional days/times available upon request.

To participate, please submit a VOLUNTEER INTEREST FORM located at: www.eastbayspca.org/volunteerform. In the field at the bottom of the form, include a note to indicate your interest in the Jog-a-Dog program.
