Hudson Re-Elected, Sachs to Join City Council

City elections will be held on even-numbered years, with 85 percent of voters in favor of the switch.

According to semi-official election results, San Ramon voters re-elected Vice Mayor David "Dave"Hudson to his seat on the city council. Hudson received about 29 percent of the votes.

Hudson has served as San Ramon's mayor, city councilman and planning commissioner and supports the development of a downtown City Center complex to include entertainment and retail space.

Voters also elected  schoolteacher and Planning Commissioner Harry Sachs, who received the largest share of votes at about 31 percent.

Renee Matsumoto received 28 percent of the vote. 

Nearly 85 percent of voters were in favor of changing the election date to even-numbered years (to correlate with state and national elections) with only 15 percent opposing.
