Week In Review: Veterans, Elections and Double Charges

Here's some of the stories that made news in San Ramon this past week.

Veterans honored: More than 200 people attended a commemoration on Friday to honor San Ramon Valley veterans. The event was held at San Ramon Valley high school. It included speeches, video tributes and patriotic displays to thank veterans who have served and are still serving in our nation's military.

Football rivarly: Dougherty Valley High's football team was blanked Thursday night, 40-0, by Dublin High in their annual rivalry game. Dublin High gets to keep the coveted Shalalie for another year.

City election: San Ramon voters went to the polls on Tuesday. They elected former school board member Bill Clarkson as their new mayor. They also re-elected Scott Perkins to the City Council as well as selected Measure W opponent Phil O'Loane for the other available seat.

Consumer alert: Nob Hill Foods alerted customers this week they may have been accidentally charged twice for groceries if they were shopping at a Nob Hill last Sunday. Store officials blamed a technical glitch that affected debit cards, credit cards, gift cards and EBT cards. The Nob Hill in San Ramon is located at 130 market place.
