1. How Much Have Your San Ramon Neighbors Given to Obama and Romney?

Overwealmingly, more San Ramon residents have given money to the Obama campaign than the Romney campaign.

Of the 706 people who have donated, 649 were made to the president's campaign while 57 were given to the campaign of Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

2. San Ramon's Population Grew 61 Percent in the Last Decade

San Ramon's population increased more than its ever had over the last 10 years, according to a report received by the San Ramon City Councilon Tuesday.

The population of San Ramon grew from 47,722 to 72,148 between 2000 and 2010. Most of the increase has come in the Dougherty Valley area, with 26,445 living now in Dougherty Valley.

3. SRV Fire District Officer Debbie Vanek Receives National Community Service Award

Vanek formed the Residential Care Facility Working Group, to work with local facilities that care for the district's elderly and helping them understand everything from the importance of fire and building codes to teaching staff CPR.

For her work, Vanek, who is a Fire Code Compliance Officer, was given the International Code Council (ICC) Community Service Award at the council annual conference in Porland, Ore. on Wednesday.

4. Eric Swalwell Leads Pete Stark in Individual Campaign Contributions

Swalwell has received more money from individual contributors than Rep. Stark, though Stark has received siginficantly more money from Political Action Committees. Read the story more details on both campaigns financial situation.
