Girl Scout Cookies: Where and When You Can Buy Them in San Ramon

Girl Scouts will be out in force starting Sunday with boxes of peanut butter, mint, berry and other cookies to sell.

Are you ready for some Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties and Savannah Smiles?

It's that time of year again.

Today is National Girl Scout Cookie Day and, starting Sunday, Girl Scouts will be in neighborhoods and in front of businesses, asking if you'd like to buy a box of cookies.

The Scouts will be at tables in San Ramon from Feb. 10 to March 16. You can check out the schedule here. Put in your zip code for the tables closest to your home.

The Girl Scouts will sell 11 types of cookies this year. Girl Scout cookies were first sold in 1917, five years after Juliette Gordon Low started the non-profit organization.

Scout leaders say the cookie sales not only raise money for the organization, but also teach girls how to run their own business.
