I had super busy morning today and by the time I got home to pay some bills and fill out school forms my brain was flooded. My daughter was talking to me and I could see her mouth moving but I couldn't understand anything she was saying. As my pencil filled in my name for the line that said, "Student's name", 3 times in a row, I finally gave up.
Speaking of my kids, considering this is a newspaper, I feel like I should change their names. Isn't that what "real" bloggers do? I was brushing my teeth this morning and thinking, "Do I give them different names or goofy nicknames like Princess Monkey Toes?" Then I decided I didnt' want to type that out over and over again. So for this blog only their names shall be: Mitch, Hazel and Jay. Hopefully I will remember that.
We got a new toilet today. The kids annihilated the last one, resulting in a flood in our garage, which is why we have no sheet-rock, and which is why we park in the driveway. This wasn't our first flood either, Serv-Pro loves us and we no longer report them to our home owner's insurance. I proudly showed off our new toilet to the kids today and Mitch stuck his hand in it. What the.......?!!
I mean today is the cleanest it will ever be, but why would you stick your hand in a toilet?! Because you have ADHD and no impulse control. And you are not medicated, and even though your parents give you skills to control your behavior, in no way are your parents equipped to know that someday you are going to stick your hand in a brand new toilet. Of course I didn't tell him I understood why he did that. In the moment I yelled, "What is your problem?! Go wash your hands right now!!". I'm only human.
