The concept will launch in mid September with “Pop Up” events, and a chic and sophisticated studio to follow in February of next year.

“We are thrilled to add new color to the lives of Bay area residents,” explains Nish Gokli, who brings experience in business management and development. “Bottle & Bottega paints a whole new picture of the possibilities when friends, couples and colleagues get together for a night of fun. We are looking forward to helping the community explore their creativity and uncork their inner artist.”

The East Bay area location will be Bottle & Bottega’s 15th in the United States, hosting events throughout San Ramon, Pleasanton, Dublin, Danville, Alamo, Livermore, Walnut Creek, Moraga and neighboring communities in the East Bay area.

Bringing out the creative side in all of us regardless of skill or practice, Bottle & Bottega is one part artistic adventure and one part cocktail party. Through a blend of hands-on art sessions, on-site professional instruction and, of course, a glass of wine, Bottle & Bottega helps guests create a masterpiece that they can be proud to take home.

Initially, the couple will host public and private paint and wine events in homes, restaurants, offices, community venues and other locations throughout the East Bay area. Once the studio is up and running, the couple will complement their on-site art parties with in-studio events. The Goklis are already scouting studio locations for their permanent home. Ideally, they hope to secure a site in Pleasanton or Walnut Creek for the new space.

“Nish and Payal are the ideal candidates we’ve been looking for in the East Bay area,” said Nancy Bigley, the CEO and co-owner of Chicago-based Bottle & Bottega. “Their enthusiasm for creative expression combined with their extensive background in operations and business management will ensure they hit the ground running. We are excited to watch their business grow.”

Prior to signing an agreement with Bottle & Bottega, Nish spent more than two decades in key leadership roles with eBay, PayPal, IBM, AT&T, Nationwide Insurance, among other well-known brands. Payal’s corporate career spans positions in the field of pharmacy and physical therapy but dedicated the last few years to provide parental care for the kids.

Over the last few years, the couple began exploring opportunities to own and operate their own business. Having traveled around the world and developed a deep appreciation for art and culture, the couple was immediately attracted to Bottle & Bottega. They knew that they wanted to bring the concept to their hometown, which compelled them to sign an agreement several months later to launch their business.

“We are growing into new communities with talented individuals like Nish and Payal who share our passion for art, wine and fun,” said Stephanie King-Myers, the co-owner and COO of Bottle & Bottega. “We are thrilled to welcome Nish and Payal into the Bottle & Bottega family.”

Bottle & Bottega rose to prominence in March of 2009 with a Chicago-based mobile art studio. King-Myers developed the concept during an impromptu and inspired girls night out where she convinced a friend that painting on a canvas could be done effortlessly with the right inspiration...a glass of wine and the perfect social setting. The city and all of Chicagoland openly embraced the unique concept and its flagship studio opened a couple years later.

In 2011, Bigley, a franchise industry executive with years of success at brands such as Dunkin’ Brands, joined as CEO and co-owner of Bottle & Bottega, signaling the launch of the brand’s strategic franchise growth initiative. Today, Bigley and King-Myers, who holds the posts of president and COO, are guiding the brand’s franchise growth, leading recent openings in Minneapolis, San Jose, Miami, Central New Jersey, and Portland, Ore.
