What Should Take Max's Place?

A new restaurant isn't always in the cards for San Ramon. When Chili's closed four months ago, a banking company moved in.

Max's Diner in San Ramon closed the day after Christmas to the surprise of many. What does this mean for the now-vacant spot?

According to LoopNet.com, the retail space is a vast 6,520 square-feet.

Unfortunately for some, another restaurant isn't always the case. When the Chili's on Crow Canyon Road closed in August 2013, Charles Schwab brokerage and banking investors moved in.

The city business license lists that Max's had 43 employees in November. There's no update as to how much of a notice workers were given about the diner's abrupt closure the day after Christmas.

Calls went unanswered from the building's realty company, Kimco Realty.
