, an upstart craft brewery based in San Ramon, kicked-off its initiative to allocate 1 percent of its profits in the third and fourth quarter of 2012 to support the community, education and area wildlife.
As part of this initiative, Schubros will give 1 percent of sales revenues from its flagship craft beer, Nico American Wheat, to help preserve East Bay parks. The brewery will also offer one percent of its soon to be unveiled 680 IPA to educational foundations in Lafayette, Walnut Creek and the Tri-Valley. Finally, one percent of Schubros’ Diablo Dark beer, which will be available to consumers in Q4, will be provided to the .
In addition to giving back financially, Schubros will continue to provide in-kind donations of its beer brands to help local organizations achieve their funding goals. For example, Schubros recently donated a premium beer-food pairing event to The Semper Fi Foundation’s silent auction in memoriam of Lieutenant Corporal Joshua “Chachi” Corral.
Through these donations and on-site volunteer activities, Schubros has already lent its support to a variety of organizations such as and Elementary Schools, The Contra Costa Food Bank and the Blue and Gold Star Moms. Other local organizations that Schubros plans to support in 2012 include The Sentinels of Freedom.

Today we are pleased to reinvest one percent of the profits from our flagship beer, Nico American Wheat, to the East Bay Regional Parks Foundation. This is just one example of how we aim to give back with Nico and all our future beer releases.”
