Free Foreign Film This Weekend at Dougherty Valley

The French Film 'Azur & Asmar' will be showing at the Dougherty Performing Arts Center for free Friday night at 7 p.m.

The film is presented by the city's parks and community services department as a 'thank you' to the community.

The film was directed by French filmmaker Michael Ocelot, whose work has earned awards from British Academy Films and César Awards.

'Azur and Asmar' is a fairytale fantasy tale about two children nursed by the same woman, who go on to become rivals as grownups in a quest to free the Djinn Fairy.

The film, which came out in 2006, is rated PG. Appropriate for ages 7 and up.
Runtime is 1 hour 38 minutes.

When: Friday, November 1 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
