Don't miss tonight's ABC7 interview with Amber Lily, a local teen competing this week in Disney's "Next Big Thing."
Things are heating up for San Ramon teen Amber Lily, who hopes to be Disney's "Next Big Thing."
Amber will be featured in an interview with Don Sanchez tonight on Channel 7 News at 6 p.m. Tune in to hear how the 13-year-old aspiring pop/R&B star manages to juggle her first year of high school at Dougherty Valley High School and her big shot at fame.
She's also performing a free concert for local fans at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Top This Frozen Yogurt Bar, located at the Safeway shopping center at Bollinger Canyon and Dougherty roads.

As reported previously in San Ramon Patch and in the Contra Costa Times, Amber, the ninth grader at Dougherty Valley High, is one of five young musicians competing in a Disney-sponsored talent competition called "Next Big Thing."
In addition to receiving national exposure from the show, if chosen, Amber could win the opportunity to have a single released by Disney Music Group and open for the Disney-backed band All-Star Weekend at a special holiday performance.

From now until Sept. 28, Amber's video clips and interviews will be featured on the Disney Channel and her songs will be aired on Radio Disney.
