Sustainable San Ramon and San Ramon Library Present "Tapped": A Community Screening Event

Sustainable San Ramon invites the community to a screening of the award-winning “Tapped” on Sunday, June 5, from 1 -3:30 p.m. at the San Ramon Library.

This timely documentary is a behind-the-scenes look into the unregulated and unseen world of an industry that aims to privatize and sell back the one resource that ought never to become a commodity: our water. From the plastic production to the ocean in which so many of these bottles end up, this inspiring documentary trails the path of the bottled water industry and the communities which were the unwitting chips on the table. A powerful portrait of the lives affected by the bottled water industry, this revelatory film features those caught at the intersection of big business and the public's right to water.

"Once I saw this movie I understood the impact that one little bottle of water has,” says Anne Cavazos, President of Sustainable San Ramon. “We’ll also provide tips and resources for residents to use in our own community.”

After the film, we will answer audience questions and share ways we can change for the better.

Refreshments donated by Whole Foods Market will be served prior to the movie screening.

This event is open to all. Please RSVP by calling the San Ramon Library at 925-973-2850 or register online.
