San Ramon 'Resident Appreciation Day' at Forest Home Farms Saturday

Tractor rides, hit and miss engines, apple tasting (vote for your favorite variety) and sheep dog herding demonstrations will be just a few of the activities on Saturday.

Resident Appreciation Day will be on Saturday at Forest Home Farms Historic Park.

This is part of a series of “Thank You San Ramon” events the City is hosting for residents. Enjoy free tours of the farm and the Glass House Museum. The event starts at 10 a.m. and goes to 2 p.m.

There will also be tractor rides, hit and miss engines, apple tasting (vote for your favorite variety), sheep dog herding demonstrations, and old fashioned games/activities for children.

Abbreviated tours of the restored Victorian Glass House Museum will be available throughout the event, and there will be tours of Forest Home Farms Historic Park, including the tractor museum, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Free tour tickets can be picked up in the Gift Shoppe.

Visit the pumpkin patch and stroll around the farm to view the scarecrows entered in the 2012 Scarecrow Contest. Winners will be announced at noon.
