Power Outage in San Ramon

Another power outage was reported today in San Ramon. Customers have reported outages all over the city the last few weeks.

By Derek Wilson

A small power outage was reported Monday morning in the 200 block of Porter Drive, near Crow Canyon Road.

The outage lasted only a little over an hour, from 11:05 a.m. to 12:16 p.m., and affected just three customers, according to PG&E. The cause of the outage is under investigation.

The outage is the latest of a handful of events PG&E has been dealing with the past two weeks. The most serious event was reported June 7 — three outages which together affected more than 12,000 customers. Those outages were blamed on equipment failure on a day when temperatures exceeded 100 degrees in some areas.

"PG&E would like to apologize to its customers for the inconvenience," according to a company statement.
