Downtown Danville Traffic Advisory

Several downtown streets will be closed Nov. 29, 2013 for the annual Lighting of the Old Oak Tree.

Danville Police and Town of Danville Maintenance staff will begin closing off some roads at 1:00 p.m.

From 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. the following street closures will be in effect:

o East Prospect Avenue from Hartz Avenue to Front Street

o Hartz Avenue from Linda Mesa to Hartz Way

From 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the following street closures will be in effect:

o W. El Pintado Road from Diablo Road to Valley Creek Lane

o Diablo Road from Hartz Avenue to east of the Old Oak Tree

o Front Street from Diablo Road to the north entrance of the Front Street Municipal Parking lot

A map of the street closures is attached.

During the event, motorists can use Railroad Avenue as an alternate. Drivers are urged to use caution and expect minor delays in the downtown.
