San Ramon resident athlete and Coyote Creek third grader, Kyle Lacanlale made big strides in the boxing amateur world this past week. Kyle won in the 60 pound division to take home the 2012 Northern California Silver Gloves Championship. Kyle fought all 3 rounds in the youngest division and advances to State Silver Gloves in December in Los Angeles. Kyle trains in Pleasanton under the watchful eye of retired professional boxer, Rico Barragan. Together they have their eye on the Nationals next year if things go according to plan.
