Authorities Seize More than $40,000 in Multi-City Pot Club Raid

Police are still searching for three suspects after a Wednesday police raid of a Danville home and a Newark pot club.

More than $40,000 in cash was seized by the Southern Alameda County Crimes Task Force in a police raid of a Danville home and a Newark medical marijuana dispensary Wednesday afternoon, officials said Thursday.

About $40,000 in cash, one assault rifle with ammo, one shotgun and about 20 pounds of processed marijuana was collected from the Danville home on Victoria Place, according to Special Agent Michelle Gregory of the state Department of Justice.

The search of the Danville home Wednesday afternoon began shortly after a search warrant was served at a Newark medical marijuana dispensary known as Happy Wellness Center, 7200 Jarvis Ave. It's believed the cannabis collective’s owners live at the Danville home, authorities said.

Authorities seized about $2,700 in cash, marijuana edibles and computers from the Happy Wellness Center.

One woman, identified as Keila Santos Gonzalez, 27, of Danville, was arrested during the police raids, and authorities are still searching for three other suspects.

Gregory said all four suspects face charges of conspiracy, possession for sale of marijuana and sales of marijuana, Gregory said.

The identities of the three other individuals have not been released, but Gregory said one is believed to be a convicted felon.
